Introduction
Ecolab partnered with us to develop a connected digital experience that connects with their existing scanning device to identify and treat stains. By combining this hardware with a mobile web application and an intelligent dashboard, we created an integrated system that helps users pinpoint fabric issues in real time and deploy the right Ecolab solutions efficiently and effectively.

Objective
A seamless interaction between hardware and software—one that could elevate their service offering and create a stronger connection between the physical process of laundry care and the digital guidance of Ecolab’s product suite.
Beyond stain identification, the goal was to build a system that could adapt to a wide range of fabric types, environments, and user needs. Ecolab wanted a solution that provided not just answers, but insights—recommendations tailored to each stain and the ability to track patterns over time. The system needed to be easy to use in busy, high-pressure environments and flexible enough to scale across clients and geographies.
Process
We began by mapping the user journey from stain detection to treatment, identifying pain points in current workflows and opportunities where technology could reduce friction. Through collaboration with Ecolab’s product and engineering teams, we defined core use cases: quick stain scanning via mobile web, instant cleaning product recommendations, and a centralized dashboard for managing configurations and monitoring performance.
Hardware integration was key. We worked closely with Ecolab’s device team to ensure the mobile web app could reliably pair with scanning tools in real-world environments. Simultaneously, we developed a configurable dashboard that gave administrators the power to view scan data, track usage trends, and fine-tune which cleaning solutions were recommended for which stains and fabrics.
Outcome
The result was a smart, streamlined platform that empowered laundry teams to take action instantly and confidently. The mobile web application made scanning easy—users simply scanned a stain, selected the fabric type, and immediately received a tailored cleaning solution recommendation. All data was automatically synced to the dashboard, enabling oversight and optimization at the enterprise level.
Since rollout, the platform has helped Ecolab improve stain resolution rates, reduce trial-and-error with chemical usage, and strengthen customer satisfaction in laundry operations. By bridging the physical and digital, we helped create a tool that not only solves problems—but also builds long-term intelligence into how Ecolab delivers value to its clients.
